Todd Jason Short
June 10, 1974 - December 6, 2008

TRUMANN - Mr. Todd Jason Short, 34, of Trumann died Saturday, December 6, 2008 in Trumann. He was born in Wynne, Ark. and had lived most of his lifetime in Trumann. He was a firefighter serving with the Trumann Fire Dept., a former service manager at Wood Ford for 12 years and member of Faith Baptist Church. Todd loved to hunt and race. Todd had too many friends and family to mention but he was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Short, his grandfather, Hugh Short and one sister, Christy Tennille Short. Survivors included his wife, Michelle Short of the home; one daughter, Hannah Tenille Short of the home; mother, Tina Loggins Blagg of Trumann; two brothers, Tim Short and Justin Blagg of Trumann; two sisters, Terra Lee of Marysville, CA and Amanda Holt of Greers Ferry, AR; grandmothers, Vernice Short and Louise Schmitz both of Trumann; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Loggins of Brockwell, and his in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Orr of Trumann. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon December 12, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Trumann with Rev. Jesse Hodges and State Fire Chaplin, Gerald Britton officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Rick Winkles, Earnie Link, Richard Mabe, David Hicks, Tony Blackwood and Barry Barber. Honorary pallbearers will include the Trumann Volunteer firefighters, Terry Holt, Mike Loggins, Jeff Loggins, Phillip Loggins, Wayne Ray, Greg Ray, Donnie O

    I live out of state and havent seen Todd in awhile..but I will always have the memories of my cousin from when we were young. Todd was always the one to make you smile. He was a great person and will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of our family and friends.

    Todd Short was my Lt. at the Trumann Fire Dept. He was also my best friend and my brother. He will be greatly missed but will always be in my heart forever.     I went to school with Todd and Michele. While I moved away in my sophomore year to Florida I still fondly remember them both.Todd was a great guy even if he did take a little getting used to back in high school.Every memory I have of Todd he had a huge grin on his face.My cousins Amy & Wendy were both very good friends with Michele and my deepest condolences go to you Michele.

    As a cousin living so far away and unable to visit our family very often, most of the memories I have of Todd are of the little kid with that enormous, happy grin. And as he grew into an adult, that smile of his grew along with him. He loved to laugh and make others laugh and he was always great fun to be around. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my cousin and my heart goes out to those who had the privilege of living their daily lives with him.
