Ruth Mauvolene Palmer Taylor
October 27, 1924 - December 20, 2008

Mrs. Ruth Mavolene Palmer Taylor was born on October 27, 1924, daughter of the late Howard and Anna Lou Gentry Palmer Scott. Mrs. Taylor died Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the family residence at the age of 84 years 1 month and 27 days. She was born in Vina, Ala., and had lived in Trumann for the past 60 years and was formerly of Bay, Ark. She was a beautician and member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Damon Taylor in 2000, one sister, one brother and her parents.Survivors include one daughter Paula and husband Dennis Morgan of Trumann; one son, Scott and wife Beth Taylor of Trumann; one step-daughter, Marcia Finnegan of Rogers, Ark., two brothers, Paul Scott of Tennessee and Ben Scott of Bay; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Trumann with Rev. Charles Cooper and Rev. David Moose officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark., under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Pallbearers will be Greg White, Jimbo Everhart, Bert Greenwell, Jody Waleszonia, Tip Shipp and Grant Henley. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Greenwell, Gayle Grimes, Al Lindsey, Joe Waleszonia, James R. Wallace, and Dalton Whitt. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church and St. Bernard
