Edith Sue Prichard Allen
April 17, 1928 - January 3, 2009

Mrs. Edith Sue Prichard Allen, daughter of the late William Odie and Seney Elizabeth Cain Prichard died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the family residence at the age of 80 years 8 months and 17 days. She was born in Lunsford, Ark., and had lived most of her lifetime in Trumann. Mrs. Allen was a homemaker and a member of the Stone Street Church of Christ in Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Vickie Rae Allen, one sister; 6 brothers and her parents. Survivors include his husband of 65 years, Harold Allen; two daughters, Beverly (Ward) Allen of Jonesboro and Gail Allen Brooks of Trumann; one sister, Wilta Pennington of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Darlene and Barry Avery and Steven Allen Poyner; and one great-grandchild, Matthew Avery. Funeral services will be Tuesday evening at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Dick Blackford officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery in Jonesboro, Ark. Pallbearers will be Wade Martin, Jerry Gilbert, Jeremy Chaffin, Phil Cullison, Steve Stoker and Frankie Prichard. Honorary pallbearer will be Roger Boling &Henry Prichard. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
