Helen Maxine Harvel

Mrs. Helen Maxine Lacert Harvel was born on Saturday, December 7, 1929, daughter of the late Joseph and Verla Lee Hall Lacert. Mrs. Harvel died, Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Trumann Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 79 years 3 months and 29 days. Mrs. Harvel was born in Marked Tree, Ark., and had lived in the Trumann area since 1988 and was formerly of Aurora, Ill. She was a retired employee of the American Can Company in Batavia, Ill., and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Leo Harvel in 1998; two sisters, two brothers and her parents. Survivors include two sons, Randy Leo and wife Kim Harvel of Lonoke, Ark., and Daniel Wayne Harvel of Trumann; two sisters, Rose Evelyn (Wanda) Lacert and Patsy Joann and husband James Gaskins both of Trumann; two grandchildren, Mark Harvel and Malyssa Harvel. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with Rev. Gary Barker and Rev. John Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Jonesboro, AR. Pallbearers will be John D. Traynom, Roy Traynom, Richard Holt, Hal Stewart, Mark Harvel and Carmack Johnson.
