Olga Ann Anderson

Mrs. Olga Ann Anderson was born on Monday December 27, 1920, the daughter of Nikolas and Florence May West Herlevich. She died on June 3, 2009 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 88 years, 5 months, and 7 days. Mrs. Anderson was born in Hamburg, AR, and was born anew spiritually at the age of 29 years in Bastrop, LA. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, creative homemaker, and Christian servant. Ms. Ann was a faithful wife of Arlis Glen Anderson, deceased in 2005, for 67 years. As a young wife with a newborn, she followed her husband, during World War II, to Missouri, Florida, and South Carolina. She lived in Mer Rouge, LA, and Itta Bena, MS, before retiring to Horseshoe Bend, AR. She moved to Trumann, AR, in 1991. Ms. Ann has one surviving daughter, Glenda Ann Anderson. As a loving mother, she set an example in word and deed. Her daughter remembers and is grateful for the life lessons taught and daily prayers offered on her behalf. Ms. Ann was a creative homemaker, always turning her house into a home. Her decorative touches, handwork, sewing, and cooking were enjoyed by family and friends. As a Christian servant, she was gifted in the area of hospitality. She had many folks visit her home for fellowship and witness. Ms. Ann planned special activities for many years in her church and encouraged others to become involved. The sixth of seven children, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by brothers: Joe, Victor, and Louis Herlevich and sisters: Fannie McKinney, Lena Boyer, and Geneva Hendrix. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann, AR. A worship celebration will follow at 10:00 a.m. Evelyn Garner and Jerry Greenwell will lead in worship, and Dr. Tad Rogers will share God
