Ms. Linda Fay Rouse of Trumann passed away Saturday August 22, 2026 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro at the age of 79 years, 8 months and 5 days. She was born in Harrisburg, Tuesday, December 17, 1946 to the late Robert and Evelyn Johnson Rouse. Linda was retired from Singer and Salant/Salant and had lived her lifetime in the Trumann area and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, James Ray Stout, Sr., son, James Ray Stout, Jr., daughter, Sandra Kay Stout, sister, Evelyn Jean Rodgers and grandson, Conner Aden Stout. Linda loved spending her time fishing, enjoying holiday events, her family, animals, sewing, gardening and watching “gator” on tv. Linda is survived by one son, Jimmy (April Whitman) Stout of Jonesboro; two daughters, Shelia (Sam) Montgomery of Jonesboro, and Brenda Thompson of Trumann; eight grandchildren, Noah Stout, Jeffery James (J.J.) Stout, Cory Whitman, Michelle Cadwallader, Leo Montgomery, Keely Fields, Kelsy Hughes, and Jeremy Stout and eight greatgrandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 until 11 am at Thompson Funeral Home. A Celebration of life will follow in the chapel at 11:00 with Rev. Andrew Sanders, officiating. Burial will follow at Farm Hill Cemetery in Harrisburg. Pallbearers will be Leo Montgomery, Jeremy Stout, Tyler Cadwallader, and Phil Hughes.
